Atlanta Mural – 2026

“Lifelines: Data from Space, Solutions on the Ground”

Nasa Lifeline Mural Unveiling 27 scaled
Atlanta muralist Rich Martin of AnyGood Creative Studio brings the Lifelines mural program to Georgia, in partnership with the City of Forest Park. The mural is located at 833 Forest Pkwy, Forest Park, GA 30297, on the new Grapevine building, a former Eckerd/Rite Aid site being redeveloped into a food business incubator with restaurant space, a coffee shop, an event stage and flexible offices for the community. The project reflects the City’s ongoing investment in downtown revitalization and gives Rich’s work a permanent home in the heart of Forest Park.

The mural illustrates how satellite data helps reveal food deserts, the neighborhoods where fresh, healthy food is hardest to reach. From above, satellites collect information about where people live, how land is used, where grocery stores are missing and where resources are needed most. Martin’s design turns that information into a visual story of Forest Park itself, working in the city’s landmark clock alongside imagery of local families, satellite mapping and community gardens to show how data becomes insight, and insight becomes action. Farmers markets, community programs and local policy investments stand in for the kind of solutions that grow out of good information reaching the right hands.

The mural carries the same message Lifelines brings to every city it works in. Science, local knowledge and collective care build healthier, more resilient neighborhoods, in Forest Park, across Metro Atlanta and beyond.

About Lifelines Murals

The Lifelines Mural Contest is a six-year global art initiative that engages local artists and communities to create murals that shed light on the ways satellite data and tools are helping communities become more resilient.
