What is the Earth Science Review Board?
The Earth Science Review Board connects humanitarian organizations with a community of Earth science experts from around the globe. Through this process, you will receive practical, tailored advice on how to leverage Earth science data and technologies to strengthen your program design, delivery, and outcomes.

Who Should Submit a Case?
We welcome humanitarian organizations of all sizes and levels of technical expertise. Even if you are just getting started with geospatial tools or satellite data, we encourage you to apply. The review board can help you understand where Earth science can add value—and how to get started.

What Happens After You Apply?

  • Submit Your Interest Form – This quick form captures basic information about your project and goals.
  • Initial Review – The NASA Lifelines team will assess alignment with program priorities.
  • Full Case Submission – If your project is a fit, you will be invited to submit a detailed case form.
  • Expert Matching – A small, customized board of experts will be selected based on your project’s needs.
  • Expert Review – Experts will review your materials, ask clarifying questions, and prepare feedback.
  • Board Meeting – You will meet with the board to discuss their recommendations.
  • Follow-up Support – You’ll receive a written summary of expert feedback and practical next steps.
