DOLLARS OF FUNDING CATALYZED TO SCALE INNOVATIONS

wHO SHOULD GET INVOLVED?

Humanitarian organizations and their partners in any country looking to scale promising piloted applications of Earth science in their operations. At least one partner group per application must have an annual operating budget of $500,000 USD.

How can you get involved

The 2024 cycle is now closed. Keep an eye on this page or sign up for our newsletter to be the first to hear about the next application cycle.

Why it matters

Less than 1% of funding for humanitarian programs goes to innovation, despite the potential of these technologies and approaches to meet community needs. Supporting innovation results in tangible outcomes for communities.
The Ready for Impact program supports teams who are ready to scale proven applications of satellite data and tools for humanitarian decision-making before, during, or after a crisis. Innovators from non-profits, community service organizations, humanitarian groups, purpose-driven companies are welcome to apply to the program individually or in partnership.

Organizations working with affected communities to leverage Earth science in humanitarian response will participate in an eight-week incubator program, culminating in an opportunity pitch in front humanitarian funders for scale-up financing at the SatSummit showcase in Washington, DC in May.

NASA Lifelines will offer In-kind resources, mentorship, and capacity-building workshops to help the cohort of humanitarians wield robust Earth science to improve decision-making and ultimately reach the most vulnerable communities with critical resources.
