Mural Contest
Congratulations to this year’s selected muralists!
What is the Lifelines Mural Contest?
The NASA Lifelines Mural Contest is a six-year art initiative that engages local artists and communities to create murals in cities around the world that shed light on the ways satellite data and tools are helping communities become more resilient. From natural disaster preparedness, to addressing clean drinking water availability, to pandemic response, communities are using Earth science to inform local decision making. In partnership with local artists, these murals will showcase the humanitarians at the forefront of innovation and will highlight powerful stories to make science more accessible. The program will fund thirty mural projects to be completed by local artists/organizations over six years.
